Hello, fellow adventurers!

We’re Kimberley and Tim, a couple with a zest for life and a passion for exploring the world together. Our story began over four decades ago in Africa, where fate brought us together. Tim, a cheeky blue eyed Marine, swept me off my feet, and our journey of love and adventure commenced.

From a romantic proposal in Paris to a beautiful wedding in England, our love story has been intertwined with our travels. We started our married life in California and have since lived in various corners of the globe, including Europe, Africa, North America, Zealandia, and Asia. Each place has enriched our lives with unique experiences and cherished memories.

Throughout our 41 years of marriage, we’ve raised two wonderful children who are now carving their own paths. Our adventures have introduced us to incredible people, diverse cultures, and unforgettable stories. As a journalist, I’ve had the joy of engaging with locals, artists, and creatives, capturing their tales and sharing them with the world.

When we travel, we seek out five key elements that make each journey special:

  1. Weather: Embracing the seasons and the unique charm they bring to each destination.
  2. Topography: Exploring diverse landscapes, from majestic mountains to serene beaches.
  3. Food and Fun Cafés: Delighting in local cuisines and discovering charming eateries.
  4. Nature: Immersing ourselves in the natural beauty and wildlife of each region.
  5. Cultures: Engaging with local traditions, arts, and the vibrant tapestry of human experiences.

Our blog is a colourful mosaic of our global journey, filled with laughter, love, and the occasional unexpected twist. We’ll be sharing our stories, interviews with fascinating individuals, and insights into the cultures and travels we’ve encountered.

We invite you to join us on this journey, to share your own stories, and to celebrate the incredible world we live in. Let’s explore, connect, and create memories together!

With love and wanderlust,

Kimberley & Tim
